Hi, does anyone know what’s going on here with my UV unwrap display? Before you ask, yes I have tried scaling and adding split lines and direction guides. The file im testing this in is just the MoldTech demo file but the issue is persistent regardless of file and didn’t go away after I reinstalled keyshot from scratch.
UV Unwrap Display error
No doubt you’ve tried eveything. When it’s white like in your image the direction guides need to be adjusted. UV Unwrapping involves trial and error and knowing it will never be “perfect” no matter how hard you try and that’s not just with KeyShot but other UV editors as well.
In this link is a video showing how I would unwrap the model.
First you have to split the one part into two meshes. Then you have to separate the areas using the seem option in UV unwrap. Or you can split the areas into several meshes and (UV) unwrap them.
I recoment a re-tesselation before the splitting.
Otherwise you can use another tool to define the UV coordinates and re-import into KeyShot Studio.
